We have been performing throughout Wisconsin since 1993. The Happy Ness Clowns consists of David "Buster" Ness and Shirley "Smiles" Ness. We are able to meet all your performance needs. Our shows can include clown skits, magic (including the use of doves), storytelling, puppets, juggling, balloon creations, face painting and games for children of all ages.

We have attended the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse Clown Camp and are members of the Fellowship of Christian Magicians and the World Clown Association. We have performed at the International Clown Hall of Fame. Katheryn O'Dell, Executive Director, stated "It was delightful. I would recommend you very highly. You were superb." We recently received the following comments from St. Michaels Hospital in Stevens Point; “You always go above and beyond to please the crowd and kids. The kids seem to flock to you no matter where you are – it’s great! We speak very highly of you. You are very professional and fun to work with.”

Both David and Shirley have graduated from the Charles W. Howard Santa Claus School, the oldest school in the US. We both would be available to portray Santa and Mrs. Claus for any of your Holiday events. Hillcrest Homes had the following to say after their Christmas party; “The whole experience was wonderful for our kids! I really appreciated the steps you took to assure that Santa’s arrival would be so special. You really went above and beyond to make Santa’s visit the highlight of our kid’s party!”

If you are having a holiday event, Mrs. Claus and her elf, Nermal, would be available with a holiday themed magic show as well as holiday themed balloons.
Both David and Shirley have lectured at numerous functions. Their lectures can include balloon sculpting, juggling fun for the non juggler and other aspects of clowning. If you have a youth group, we can teach them clown makeup and how to be a clown.Janet Tucker former President of the World Clown Association and current head of the clown department for the Fellowship of Christian Magicians had this to say regarding our classes, “Thank you for sharing such a cool class with the Clown Department at FCM. Everyone had a fun time and I learned some great games to use for a company picnic. Someone said to me after class how cool the class was and I said “anytime you see a class by Dave and Shirley, take it, as it will always be good!” That person said “that’s the advantage of coming to FCM for several years so you know the best instructors and make sure you see what they have to offer.” You both are on my list of great instructors and I look forward to having you again next summer.”
